China Telecom has commenced the sales of the Vivo Y37A – the carrier’s variant of the audio-centric Vivo Y37 which surfaced online and has been selling since August. The Y37A is available for CNY 2198 (US$ 343) in White colour option.
The Vivo Y37A differs from the Vivo Y37 which is the general network version in the networks aspect; it is the China Telecom version and is compatible with FDD-LTE, TD-LTE, W-CDMA, TD-SCDMA, CDMA2000 and GSM frequency bands.
Moving to the specs, it sports a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD LCD display, powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 MSM8939 64-bit processor clocked at 1.5GHz with 2GB RAM and 16GB built-in storage. The device measures 154 x 77 x 6.79mm in dimensions, has Hybrid Dual SIM slots (Micro + Nano) with the option to go with two SIMS or use the second SIM slot as a microSD card for storage expansion up to 128GB.
The Vivo Y37A has two pro-level 5 magnetic-circuits speakers and with a pro-level Hi-Fi chip onboard, it has a SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio) of 105Db (DeciBels) with ultra-low distortion. Photography is handled by a front facing 5MP camera for selfies and a rear facing 13MP camera with LED flash.
Connectivity options onboard includes – Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, Dual Band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Wi-Fi Direct, micro USB 2.0, GPS (A– GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, Beidou) and 4G LTE. The Vivo Y37A packs a 2720mAh battery with Energy Saver 2.0 tech and runs Funtouch OS 2.1 based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS.
