Vivo is one of those few manufacturers that emphasises on slimmer devices and the company is not changing that with the upcoming Vivo Y929. It has been certified in China by TENAA and we have managed to lay hands on some of the specs plus some images too. The smartphone comes with 4G capabilities, metal frame with chamfered edges and Gorilla Glass 3 on the front and rear of the device.
The Vivo Y929 features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display, powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core qualcomm snapdragon 410 processor with 1GB of RAM, 16GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot for memory expansion.
On the rear is a 13MP camera with LED flash and there is a front facing 5MP camera for selfies. It supports Dual SIM functionality, measures 143.6 x 71.1 x 6.67mm in dimensions, weighs 128 grams and runs on Android 4.4 kitkat OS with Vivo’s FunTouch OS 2.0 ontop. It supports 4G/3G/GSM networks and is backed by a 2000mAh battery.
The Vivo Y929 comes with a 2199 Yuan (around $351) price tag which is costlier than most smartphones in the same range. It is expected to go official very soon.
