Vivo recently commenced sales of the Vivo Z1i in the Chinese market. The mid-range device, which is an upgraded version of the Vivo Z1, comes with a different chipset, more storage and better camera. It is available in Black and Red colours for a price tag of CNY 1,899 (USD 288).
The Vivo Z1i is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor compared to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 on the Z1. It also uses the same 13MP + 2MP dual rear camera setup and packs 4GB of RAM, however, the built-in storage space has doubled from 64GB to 128GB and the front selfie camera has increased from 12MP to 16MP with Face Unlock support.
Retaining the same design as the Vivo Z1, the Z1i has the same notched 6.29-inch 19:9 FullView 2.5D Curved glass display with 2280 x 1080 pixels (Full HD+) resolution, rear mounted fingerprint sensor and 3,260mAh battery. It comes pre-loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo OS with FunTouch OS 4.0 on top.
The Vivo Z1i comes pre-loaded with Jovi AI on-board along with other AI-assisted features including Beauty Mode and the Game Mode feature, which is customisable, allows the user block out all notifications from interrupting the game.
