Aspiring Chinese device maker, VKWorld has added a new budget smartphone named VKworld VK800X to join the growing list. The device is expected to be sold for a price less than that of the VK700 Max which actually sells for a sub-$70 price in the market.
The VKworld VK800X has a body made from nano-meter aero material, has a coating for better resistance and strength and brushed back cover for better holding experience. It sports a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels (qHD) and boots Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box.
The device is powered by a quad-core Mediatek MT6580 processor clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali-400 MP1 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB built-in storage space. For additional storage, there is a microSD card slot which accommodates up to 64GB cards.
Photography is handled by a front facing 5MP and a rear facing 8MP cameras; both cameras have Camera flash for brighter selfies and low-light scenarios. The VKworld VK800X supports 2G and 3G networks; other connectivity options includes – Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB.
The device has Dual SIM slots, measures 146 x 71 x 7.9 mm in dimensions and is backed by a 2200mAh Lithium Polymer battery which promises about 2 – 3 days of standby time. Black, Gold and White are the available colour options.
