Vodafone (the Big Red) has announced the Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 smartphone in the UK; the device would join other devices in the Smart Ultra series of devices. It is available on Pay as you go bundles or for a plan of £17 monthly.
Moving to the specs, The Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display which results in a pixel density of 400ppi. Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (8 x cortex A53) processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage.
On the rear, there is a 13MP camera with LED flash and a front facing 5MP camera for selfies. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with MiFavour 3.0 UI ontop, has a microSD card slot for storage expansion and is backed by a 3000mAh battery. The device is available in two colour options – the Anthracite colour is already available while the Silver colour variant is coming in July.
It seems Vodafone employed the help of ZTE in building the Smart Ultra 6 phablet; the device is said to be the ZTE Blade S6 Plus but the screen resolution has been pushed from HD to Full HD.
