What We Know about the Upcoming Blackberry Classic smartphone

Blackberry was not on the display at the IFA 2014 event in Berlin. With the company set to launch the Blackberry Passport in September, the Blackberry Classic (Blackberry Q20) has also been spotted on an official Weibo account.

The Blackberry Classic was announced at the Mobile World Congress 2014 (MWC 2014) earlier this year but not much details has been revealed about the device. The device is said to be a step up from the Blackberry Q10 and the Track Pad, Menu and the Navigational keys would return.

According to Geekbench benchmark results, the Blackberry Classic is expected to feature a 3.5-inch display, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Processor clocked at 1.2GHz and a 2GB of RAM. Other details are similar to the Blackberry Z10 or Q10. The device is expected to support NFC and 4G LTE connectivity options.

Making do with the available information, the Blackberry Classic is expected to feature stereo speakers, external Nano-SIM and microSDcard slots. The device is running on the yet to be announced Blackberry OS 10.3 (10.3.1.209).

The Blackberry Classic is expected to be priced at entry level and set to debut in November alongside the Blackberry 10.3.1 OS. We will follow up more details about this device and when it finally drops.
