The Motorola Moto Shattershield technology involves a screen with an integrated system of  five layers with specific duties of making it more durable, absorb shock and never shatter. These layers start with a rigid aluminium core, followed by a stunning AMOLED flexible display, then dual touch layer, interior lens and finally the exterior lens.

Did you Know:

Based on an online survey carried out between September 29 – October 9, 2015 on Adults; More than half (53%) of global smartphone owners have shattered their screens, and one-in-five (21%) global smartphone owners are currently living with a broken smartphone screen .

Motorola is assuring that the display will last up to 4 years without shattering or even cracking however cases of scratches or other cosmetic damages will not be attended to under the warranty agreement. You should however know that only the phone’s screen is shatterproof not the whole body and also the phone is not shockproof.

The Motorola Droid Turbo 2 is the first ever smartphone with the Moto Shattershield technology and the device is available exclusively in the US. This device has launched worldwide with the same feature and specs as the Motorola Moto X Force but the feature is absent on the Motorola Droid Maxx 2.
