It is a know fact that Whatsapp is hard at work on its own voice calling feature and while we have seen many messaging platforms have/are starting to embrace this feature, it is unsurprising that Whatsapp is toeing the same path. Whatsapp voice calling feature lets you call other Whatsapp users through the app using data services on your mobile.
Some days ago, we reported that some Android users are starting to see this feature. Even though it is not yet available to the general public, it goes a long way to confirm it’s existence.
According to Crackberry, Some Blackberry 10 users are also starting to see the Voice Calling Feature on Whatsapp. However, the feature is only available for users running the Beta release from the Blackberry Beta Zone. This feature is not showing for everybody which means the company has likely moved from testing this feature on Android to Blackberry 10.
It is possible to force this feature on your mobile by having someone with the voice calling feature call you; there are mixed results as it worked for some and didn’t for others. If you are running on a non-beta release of Whatsapp on Blackberry 10, it is unlikely it works for you.
Whatsapp is expected to roll-out Voice Calling feature soon but how soon it would, we cannot say. Check back for more official details later.
