Since their announcement, the iPhone 11 (6.1-inch) and iPhone 11 Pro (5.8-inch and 6.5-inch) has been one of the major talking points of the tech world. Apple has always been a trendsetter for the competitors and has always amazed us with the products they launched. It won’t be an exaggeration to say that almost all the other smartphone makers look up to them for ideas and have tried copying them in all the ways they possibly can.
This article takes a deep dive into some of the reasons why you should consider buying the iPhone 11 or iPhone 11 pro as your next smartphone.
CAMERA
Irrespective of the version, you will love your photos to be taken on an iPhone’s camera. Apple equipped the iPhone 11 pro with three camera lenses – wide, ultra-wide and telephoto, while the iPhone 11 skips out on the telephoto lens to be left with only wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle lens. Video quality and clarity has also increased to a considerable extent on int iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro.
- Portrait mode as Apple says is in the best form in these phones, thanks to the advanced bokeh (which makes part of the photo look out of focus). The portrait mode in this phone works on pets and objects along with humans.
- Improved Low Light Pictures – Apple is giving credit to the new A13 processor for the improvement in the clarity of the pictures in low light. In iPhone 11 when a picture is clicked in low light it takes several pictures and aligns them to give a great shot. Compared to previous models, this is clearly a massive improvement.

PROCESSOR
The much faster A13 Bionic chipset, successor to last year’s A12, comes with 6 cores – 2 high-performance cores (Lightning) and 4 energy-efficient cores (thunder). Compared to its predecessor, the first two cores is said to consume 30% less energy and the other four cores reduces energy consumption by 60%. With the recent high demand for fast, smooth and efficient processors, the A13 is one to consider for a better gaming experience.
BATTERY LIFE
Critics have always lashed out at Apple for having phones with poor battery life as slow charging speed. In this fast-paced world, you surely need the battery of your mobile to last longer. The iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 pro has taken care of this worry and is expected to last about 5 hours longer than iPhone X. One of the reasons for this is said to be the new A13 chipset, which consumes less energy.
FAST CHARGER
All iPhone 11 models support fast charging out-of-the-box, however, only iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max ship with an 18W (9V/2A) charger. More than 50% of charging can be done within half an hour and can last longer throughout the day. Surely Apple is focussing on the drawbacks big time to make their loyal customers content.
OTHER NOTABLE CHANGES
- The new screen comes up with new super retina XDR display, which is a uniquely designed OLED, which is giving the user an immersive HDR watching experience to watch movies and better high-end games experience. The screen also allows better colour support which gives a more natural viewing experience.
- Apple also added a few more colour variants to the existing options and wireless charging with a Qi- certified charger. Although not officially confirmed, the new centre logo placement was expected to highlight the reverse wireless charging option – a feature similar to Samsung’s Wireless Powershare feature.
CONCLUSION
As with every new iPhone model, Apple made some changes to the new iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro. Photography (camera quality) and security has been one of the highlights of owning an iPhone but Apple decided to switch this year’s model it by offering a triple camera system on the Pro version, immersive screen experience, and both fast and wireless charging options has been added to the much improved battery life.
