Wickedleak has announced the Wickedleak Alpha smartwatch in India. The company’s first ever smartwatch is available for a price tag of Rs 6990 (US$ 104) in Gold/White and Silver/Black colour options.
The Wickedleak Alpha supports Android (Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and above) and iOS (iOS 8 and above) smartphones. It is powered by the Mediatek MT2502 low power processor, sports a 1.54-inch (240 x 240 pixels) square-ish display with a pixel density of 220ppi and is backed by a 280mAh battery which is expected to provide up to two days of battery life.
The smartwatch which has a body made from CNC processed steel, measures 49 x 41 x 10.9mm in dimensions, weighs 48 grams in size and the 22mm straps are interchangeable. It also comes with a heart rate monitor, pedometer for counting steps, sleep monitoring, sedantry reminder and connects to devices via Bluetooth v4.0.
The Wickedleak Alpha does the normal functions expected from a smartwatch – access to notifications from phone calls, messages, emails, and more. It can be used to control the camera of the smartphone, play music directly from the smartphone and receive calls directly from the smartwatch. The smartwatch is IP65 certified for water and dust resistant .
