Wiko has added a new smartphone – the Wiko Getaway into the Nigeria market and this time it is collaborating with Jumia Nigeria to being the smartphone into the country. The device has been available since 2014 in France and it is reminiscent of the way HTC designs it smartphone.
Wiko Getaway Specs and Features
The Wiko Getaway sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS LCD display with 69.3% screen to body ratio, a pixel density of 294ppi and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2.
The device is powered by a Quad-core 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 (MediaTek MT6582 processor with ARM Mali 420 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot on-board also which increases the capacity up to 32GB more.
To handle photography there is a 13MP camera on the back with an LED flash and there is a 5MP main camera also on the front also for selfies. Connectivity options on the Wiko Getaway includes – Bluetooth 4.0, Micro USB 2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, GPS, 3.5mm Audio jack and 3G HSPA+ connectivity.
There is no mention of 4G LTE but as expected it comes with Dual SIM functionality (Micro SIM + Nano SIM) with Dual Standby, FM Radio and is backed by a 2000mAh Li-Po battery. Dimensions of the device stands at – 69.5 x 143 x 7.2 mm, weight at 133 grams.
In the box users get a SIM adapters, SIM tray ejectory pin, USB 2.0 charging cord, Charger, a pair of earphones, user guide, warranty card, Product code sticker and the phone itself.
Pricing and Availability
The Wiko Getaway is exclusively available on Jumia and expected to sell for around the N40,000 range (the current equivalent to $200). The device is also expected to be available across different retail outlets starting today March 16th.
