Wiko Mobiles has released a new phablet-sized device in its home country, France. Priced at EUR 129.99, the Wiko Robby 3G is an entry-level smartphone with a 5.5-inch display and boots Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out-of-the box.
Fitted in a plastic body with metallic finish, the Wiko Robby 3G sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) screen resolution and is backed by a considerable 2500mAh battery. The bulky device measures 155 x 79.1 x 10 mm in dimensions and the weight tells a lot at 185 grams.
On the inside, it relies on a quad-core processor (likely the Mediatek MT6580 with Mali-400 MP GPU) along with 1GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space which is expandable up to 64GB via the microSD card slot. It has Dual SIM slots and supports 2G and 3G networks only.
In the camera segment, the Wiko Robby 3G has a front facing 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video chats; and a rear facing 8-megapixel camera with LED flash. Although it skips on LTE connectivity, the device boasts of the ability to receive calls when upside down (reverssibility feature) just like the Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3.
one of those OEMs which I haven’t seen any reasonable device from. since they sell in Nigeria, it could eventually get here but the price would be shitty as usual…
