UK based brand, Wileyfox has announced its latest budget smartphones with Cyanogen OS on-board – the Wileyfox Swift 2 and Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus. The duo share a number of specs in common expect the major changes spotted in the camera, memory and storage aspects.
Packed in an Aviation-grade aluminium metal body, the Wileyfox Swift 2 (and Swift 2 Plus) sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display with 2.5D corning Gorilla Glass protection and backed by a 2700mAh battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
Under the hood, it relies on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor and boots Cyanogen OS 13 based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS (upgradeable to Nougat). It uses the USB Type-C port, has Hybrid Dual SIM slot (micro + Nano/MicroSD), rear placed fingerprint sensor and 4G LTE support.
Moving to the differences, the Swift 2 packs 2GB of RAM, 16GB built-in storage space and rear facing 13MP PDAF camera with Dual LED flash while the Swift 2 Plus packs 3GB of RAM, 32GB built-in storage space and rear 16MP PDAF camera with Dual LED flash. Both have a front 8MP selfie camera.
The Wileyfox Swift 2 is priced at £159 (US$ 197) while the Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus costs £159 (US$ 197). The duo arrives in Gold, Midnight and Rose colour options. They are now available to order directly from Wileyfox website with delivery expected next week. They are also available to pre-order from Amazon.
