Samsung launches its Galaxy Note series smartphones at the IFA event which takes place yearly by Early September. While the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is expected to launch at the same event, a new report is suggesting otherwise whilst also tipping an August release date.
According to Wall Street Journal (WSJ) citing people with knowledge on the matter Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Note 5 by Mid August, a few weeks earlier than the early September launch.
Using this tactics coupled with looking for ways to revive it’s sales for the second quarter of the year, the company is looking to rack up some sales and wants to avoid any form of competition from the upcoming Apple iPhone (iPhone 6s) which should launch in September.
Samsung has not officially confirmed this report. However, looking at the very high credibility and authenticity of the source – it is either the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 would launch earlier or the company has considered (or is considering) launching the device in August.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is rumoured to feature a 5.67-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD display and would be powered by the 64-bit Exynos 7422 processor. The device is expected to have a glass back, a non-removable battery, no microSD card slot and would run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS.
The Samsung Exynos 7422 processor to be used is the first from the company to have its GPU, CPU, internal storage, RAM and cellular connectivity in a single chip. Samsung is also expected to launch the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus which would succeed the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge.
