Over the past few weeks, Xiaomi has been active with new releases under its own branding and other sub-brands such as Redmi. The company’s Black Shark gaming division has unveiled its latest gaming-centric smartphones – the Black Shark 4 and Black Shark 4 Pro. The duo shares most of the same features and specs apart from the processor, main camera, and the memory configuration available.
The Pro model is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 mobile platform paired a liquid cooling system, up to 12GB of RAM (LPDDR5) and 512GB (UFS 3.1) built-in storage. Photography is handled by a triple camera system involving a 64MP primary camera paired with 8MP ultra-wide and 5MP macro lens. The non-pro model is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 mobile platform paired with up to 12GB of RAM (LPDDR5) and up to 256GB (UFS 3.1) storage space. The only difference between the pro and non-pro’s camera is the 48MP main camera.
The Black Shark 4 Pro (and Black Shark 4) have the same 6.67-inch E4 AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution, 1300nits peak brightness, 144Hz refresh rate, and up to 720 touch sampling rate. The devices have a 20MP selfie camera in the centre-placed punch-hole notch, dual front-facing stereo speakers, NFC, Wi-Fi 6, USB Type-C port, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and depend on a 4,500mAh battery with 120W fast charging. They come pre-loaded with JOYUI 12.5 (based on Android 11) and reached an impressive AnTuTu result of 867,578 points.
