Xiaomi has a new smartphone coming up in its Redmi series of devices; a new smartphone with the the model number – Xiaomi H3Y, codenamed – Project Hermes has leaked out online.
According to @upleaks, the Xiaomi H3Y is expected to a metal body build and while it’s display size is unknown yet it has a 1920 x 1080 pixels FHD resolution. Under the hood, it would be powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6795 64-bit processor paired with 2GB of RAM and supports Dual SIM functionality.
The rest of the specs includes – a front facing 5MP camera with OmniVision OV5670 image sensor, a rear facing 13MP camera with Samsung S5K3M2 ISOCELL image sensor and it would run on Android 5.0 or 5.1 Lollipop OS based MIUI 6.
According to another listing, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 is expected to rock a 5.5-inch Full HD display, powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6795 64-bit processor, 3GB of RAM, a rear facing 13MP camera, 16GB internal storage, a microSD card slot, 3000mAh battery, 5MP front camera, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G LTE (FDD-LTE) support, Android 5.0 Lollipop and USB Type-C port.
The Xiaomi H3Y was expected to be the Redmi Note 2 which is said to have a July Release date. However, a leaked roadmap of the company shows that the H3Y is expected to be the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro while the H3X is expected to be the long rumoured Xiaomi Redmi Note 2.
There is no official word on the existence of this device yet, who knows it would debut sooner than later.
