China’s certification agency, TENAA recently certified a new Xiaomi smartphone which is expected to launch soon. The smartphone, listed with the model number: M1803E6E is believed to be the upcoming Redmi S2 with dual rear cameras, 18:9 HD+ display and boots Android 8.1 Oreo OS.
The lisiting confirms the Xiaomi M1803E6E (Redmi S2) will feature a 5.99-inch TFT display with (1440 x 720 pixels) HD+ screen resolution and a pixel density of 268.78 PPI. It features a rear fingerprint sensor and hybrid SIM slots, measures 160.73 x 77.26 x 8.1 mm, weighs 170 grams and packs a 3,000mAh battery.
On the inside, the device relies on an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz (most likely the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC) and boots Android 8.1 Oreo OS. It will arrive in multiple memory and storage options: 2GB RAM with 16GB storage, 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage space. All the storage options are expandable up to 256GB via microSD.
In the camera department, the M1803E6E features 12MP + 8MP dual rear cameras with LED flash and front facing 16MP camera with Flash for selfies. It is expected to arrive in Black, Blue, Gold, Gray, Pink, Rose Gold and Silver colours, and could go official alongside the Xiaomi Mi 6X this week in China.
