At its anniversary event in China, Xiaomi has officially lifted the lids on its latest flagship smartphone – the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 mobile platform and available in different memory (RAM and storage) configurations: 8GB + 128GB for CNY 5299; 8GB + 256GB for CNY 5599; 12GB + 256GB for CNY 5999 and the top-end model – 16GB + 512GB for CNY 6999. It is open for pre-order and will go on sale starting August 16.
The key highlight is the main camera segment which is made up of four cameras and achieved a total score of 130 marks on DXoMark – making it the best so far on a mobile device. The setup includes:
- 48MP (f/1.85, 1/1.32″ sensor, 2.4μm 4-in-1 large pixel size, 8P lens, OIS + EIS, dual native ISO tech) main camera
- 48MP (f/4.1, 1.6μm OIS + EIS, 10x optical zoom and 120x digital zoom, 5P lens) periscope lens
- 12MP (2x optical zoom, Dual PD AF, 4-in-1 large pixel size, 6P lens) portrait camera
- 20MP (f/2.2, 7P lens, 2.5cm min focus for macro shots) 128° ultra-wide-angle camera
The setup has a Laser AF, Flicker sensor and triple LED flash. It can also record 8K videos @24fps, 4k videos @60fps and 1080p videos @960fps. There is a 20MP in the top-left punch-hole notch. The other highlight is the inclusion of 120W (Quick Charge 5.0/Power Delivery 3.0) wired ultra-fast charging on its dual-cell 4,500mAh battery to deliver 41% charge in 5 minutes and 100% charge in 23 minutes. It also includes 10W reverse wireless charging and 50W wireless fast charging that charges full in 40 minutes.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, DCI-P3 support and 3D glass back with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The processor is cooled by LiquidCool 2.0 system that includes a vapour chamber with a six-layer graphite layer plus graphene. The rest of the specs include In-display fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C audio, and IR sensor.
