Ahead of its proposed launch (April 25), Xiaomi has shared the promo / teaser video for its upcoming MI X series smartphone – the Xiaomi Mi 6X. The mid-range device has a sleek, slim metal body build, dual rear cameras and will arrive in Black, Blue, Gold, Pink and Red colour options.
The Xiaomi Mi 6X is expected to feature a 5.99-inch (2160 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ 18:9 display with 2.5D curved glass, IR sensor, hybrid dual SIM slots, 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C port and a 2,910mAh battery. On the inside, it will be powered by an octa-core processor, which could be the Mediatek Helio P60 SoC or either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 or 660 octa-core mobile platform.
The smartphone is said to be equipped with 20MP (f/2.0) + 8MP (f/1.8) dual rear cameras and a front facing 20MP (f/2.0) camera with LED flash. While the rear camera arrangement is reminiscent of that of the Redmi Note 5 Pro, the fingerprint sensor sits above the Xiaomi logo on the rear.
The Xiaomi Mi 6X will pack 4GB of RAM and 64GB built-in expandable storage. It also comes pre-loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo OS with the latest MIUI skin on top. There is no word yet on pricing and availability, however, all that will be know later this week.
