Xiaomi has released a new miniature MI Laser projector in China. The Xiaomi Mi Home Projector Lite (Youth Edition) is currently available via the company’s via Mijia crowdfunding platform for CNY 2,199 (USD 320) but will eventually retail for CNY 2,499 (USD 364) after crowdfunding.
Measuring 15cm in height and weighing in at 1.3kg, the Xiaomi Mi Home Projector Lite projects in 1080p (Full HD) resolution on screens ranging from 40 to 200 inches (maximum recommended is 120 inches). It has a native aspect ratio of 1:2:1 and brightness of 500 ANSI lumens.
The projector supports HDR10 and boots MIUI TV operating system, thus it has most of the abilities of the company’s MI LED TVs. It also comes with USB 3.0, HDMI and Aux ports, 2GB of RAM, 16GB built-in storage, integrated speakers with Dolby Atmos and DTS support, and AI voice control setup to control the projector with only voice. The lamp on the projector can last up to 30,000 hours of LED life.
