Ahead of the three-day Dilwali event, Xiaomi India has announced a new variant of the Mi Max with 6.44-inch display for Rs 19,999 (approx. US$ 300). The Xiaomi Mi Max Prime has all the specs of the original models but comes with more storage, memory and higher processor.
The Xiaomi Mi Max Prime features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 (MSM8976) processor, 4GB of RAM and128GB built-in storage space compared to the Snapdragon 650 (MSM8956) SoC, 3GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage space on the original model which costs Rs. 14,999 (US$ 225).
Backed by a 4850mAh battery which lasts up to 14 hours of Video Playback on the average, the 7.5mm thick metal clad Mi Max Prime (and Mi Max) packs a sizeable 6.44-inch 2.5D curved display with Full HD screen resolution and a rear placed fingerprint sensor.
The rest of the specs includes – 16MP camera with 5MP front facing camera, 4G Dual SIM (Nano + Micro), Voice Over LTE (VoLTE), 4G LTE connectivity, Infrared Sensor and MIUI 8 (based on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS). The device will go on sale on October 17th and can be purchased via Mi.com.
