Popular Chinese device maker, Xiaomi is preparing to launch the successor of the Mi Pad 2, released in November last year. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 is expected to go official in China before the end of 2016 (December 13th) and this time around, only the Windows version has been spotted so far.
Powered by the more powerful 7th generation Intel M3-7Y30 processor with Intel HD Graphics 615, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 packs up to 8GB of RAM, and 125GB or 256GB built-in storage space. It sports a 9.7-inch display with 2048 x 1536 pixels screen resolution and 4:3 aspect ratio.
Packed in a 6.08mm thin all metal body, the slate also features a front facing 8MP camera, 16MP main camera with Dual tone Flash, Dual Band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1 and ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. It measures 239.5 x 164.5 x 6.08 mm in dimensions and weighs 380 grams.
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 is backed by a 8290mAh battery with fast charging and is equipped with the USB Type-C port. According to source, the 128GB storage version will sell for CNY 1999 (US$ 288) while the 256GB version will go for CNY 2299 (US$ 330). The company is also expected to introduce a CNY 99 (US$ 14) magnetic keyboard accessory along.
