Today (Christmas Eve 2018), Xiaomi unveiled its first Play series smartphone with a waterdrop notch – the Xiaomi Mi Play in China. It has a glossy-like finish in Black colour and other Gradient choices (Dream Blue and Twilight Gold), and comes pre-loaded with MIUI 10.
Backed by a lasting 3,000mAH battery, the Xiaomi Mi Play has a notched 5.84-inch Full HD+ 19:9 display, rear fingerprint sensor, dual SIM slots and separate microSD card slot. It is powered by Mediatek’s new Helio P35 octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB built-in storage.
It is equipped with 12MP + 2MP dual rear cameras with LED flash and AI enhancements such as AI Scene detection and a front facing 8MP camera with AI Beautify and AI Portrait mode.

Pricing and Availability
The Xiaomi Mi Play (4GB + 64GB) is available for pre-order in China starting today and will go on sale tomorrow for CNY 1,099 (USD 160). Using its Mi Mobile brand, the company is also offering 10GB data per month for 12 months with a bundled SIM card.
