The ‘Apple of China’, Xiaomi has finally announced the Xiaomi Mi3 for the Indian market after creating so many buzz on social media. The Chinese company has announced the Xiaomi Mi3, its first smartphone to debut in India. Xiaomi joins other Chinese firms selling its smartphones in India including Huawei, ZTE, Lenovo, Gionee and Oppo.

The Xiaomi Mi3 a 5-inch full HD LCD display (1080×1920 pixels) offering a pixel density of 441ppi. The device is powered by a a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (8274AB) processor, 2GB of RAM, Adreno 330 450 MHZ GPU, 16GB of internal storage.

The Xiaomi Mi3 sports a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, Sony Exmor BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture, 1080p full HD video recording and a 2MP front facing camera with BSI sensor. Connectivity options include 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4/5 GHz), WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC.

The Xiaomi MI3 weighs 145g, measures 8.1mm in thickness and runs on a customised Android with MIUI. The smartphone has a battery capacity of 3050mAh; which provides 500 hours of standby time, 50 hours of music playback, 25 hours of talk time, 21 hours of 3G Internet use.

The Xiaomi Mi3 is expected to available for pre-booking on July 15th. And it is expected to retail Rs. 14,999 ($251 / N41,000). Xiaomi also announced a deal back in June that it is partnering Flipkart in the sale of Xiaomi MI3.

In addition to the MI3, Xiaomi has also launched two portable power banks with 5200mAh and 10400mAh battery capacity. The 5200mAh power bank can charge the Apple iPhone 5S and the Xiaomi MI3 twice. While the 10400mAh model can charging the Apple iPhone 5S 4.5 times and the Xiaomi Mi3 four times.

    1. The best option is to order directly from China as Chinese OEM onlyannounce their devices locally. The price has been speculated to be around N41,000 – N45,000 in Naira.
