More information has surfaced about the upcoming Xiaomi Mi5 and it has taken a new dimension. Xiaomi is now expected to announce two version of the Mi5 – the main Xiaomi Mi5 and a plus version dubbed as the Xiaomi Mi5 Plus. In a short time, Xiaomi has established itself as one of the world’s largest manufacturers, while its ownership structure is unclear, the company is championing the Chinese market.
The Xiaomi Mi5 is expected to sport a 5.2-inch display, powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC (64-bit) paired with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM. The main camera onboard is a 16MP unit and the front camera is expected to be around 5MP or higher; the device would also come with a fingerprint sensor integrated and it would be backed by a 3000mAh battery.
The Xiaomi Mi5 Plus on the other hand is a bigger version of the Xiaomi Mi5; it sports a bezel-less 6-inch (2560 X 1440 pixels) QUAD HD display, powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with 4GB of RAM, 32GB sapce of internal storage and the main camera is a 16MP snapper with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). Asides the fact that both smartphone would be powered by the 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810, nothing else is confirmed at least for now.
Both smartphones are expected to be unveiled at some point in July and as launch date draws nigh more details about the device should surface including the pricing and availability.
