Xiaomi is expected to unveil its next flagship device on January 15th and so far we have heard of different names – it could either be the Xiaomi MI4S or Xiaomi Mi5. The latter looks more likely and most of the supposed specs of the Mi5 has been spotted online.
The Xiaomi Mi5 has been listed on e-retail outlet, Oppomart with most of the specs unveiled including how much the smartphone would cost. The device would feature a 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution display amounting a pixel density of 515ppi. Under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 with Adreno 420 GPU; the device rely on 3GB LPDDR3 RAM and either 16GB or 64GB of internal storage capacity.
Other listing includes a front facing 8MP camera apparently for selfies and a rear facing 16MP camera. The device would use a 3600mAh Lithium-ion polymer battery and supports 4G LTE-FDD bands.
While we can’t confirm the authenticity of the listing one can just help but wonder why the Xiaomi Mi5 would not feature the Snapdragon 810 SoC. The device is expected to debut on January 15 so we should be seeing more infos before by then.
