In a bid to make after-sales services available to most, if not all of its customers in India. Xiaomi has introduced a doorstep pick up and drop service in India – Xiaomi PickMi. The Chinese company also offers the PickMi service in Brazil.
The Xiaomi PickMi service cost Rs 189 ($3) inclusive of tax and covers the entire Xiaomi devices lineup available in India. To get started all the customer need do is to call this toll-free number 1800 103 6286 and after confirming your address, a representative will be sent over to pick up the device.
The PickMi service is accessible throughout India, this is not only good news but also relief to customers but only time will tell if it will alleviate people’s problem with devices and thus improve Xiaomi’s services in India.
This is not the company’s first encounter with after-sale pick up and drop service, it had partnered with Delhi-based GadgetWood to provide pick up, repair and delivery service in India but it was only restricted to NCR-Delhi regions.
Like Xiaomi, Meizu has also shown interest in offering after sale pick up and drop services too, the company will also be looking to add about 40 more customer service centres to the already existing 28 service centres across 20 cities in India.
Motorola has already launched something similar with the Moto XPress service, the service is however still restricted to Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida.
