Sometimes last week, we reportedly saw an upcoming Xiaomi device on TENAA which could be the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi 2S. The device has been confirmed on both TENAA and AnTuTu benchmark listing and most of the specs has been shed light on.
Talking about the form factor the Xiaomi Redmi 2S measures 134 x 67.2 x 9.2mm and weighs 134grams (against the 137 x 69 x 9.9mm and 157grams of its predecessor). It maintains the same capacitive keys below the screen and the bezels has been slimmed a little bit.
The Redmi 2S keeps the same 4.7-inch 720p display, comes with a 64-bit 1.2GHz Cortez A53 Snapdragon 410 processor which is an improvement to the Snapdragon 400 processor on it predecessor. It will have 1GB of RAM, 8GB space of internal storage, a front 2MP camera and a rear facing 8MP camera which is capable of recording 1080p video.
The Xiaomi Redmi 2S according to the listing supports a Single SIM which is in sharp contrast with the predecessor with Dual SIM slots. The devices supports 4G LTE from the onset with Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity options too. It will pack a 2200mAh battery and the pricing detail is unknown yet.
Xiaomi is rumoured to be working on a LTE enabled smartphone which would cost around $65 and a 9.2-inch tablet which would pack 1GB of RAM and Snapdragon 410 processor. Let just see how this pans out.
