Xiaomi Redmi 3S Plus Debuts in India, On Sale Exclusively Offline

Xiaomi has announced a new smartphone which would be sold exclusively offline in India. The Xiaomi Redmi 3S Plus marks a shift in strategy from the online only model (inclusive of flash sales, which has been copied by various smartphone vendors) to sales in physical stores (offline).

The specifications of the Xiaomi Redmi 3S Plus (Redmi 3S+) are very similar to the Redmi 3S Prime. The only notable difference is in the memory segment – the 3S Plus comes with 2GB RAM compared to 3GB on the 3S Prime. However, both pack a 32GB built-in expandable storage space.

The Dual SIM device features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 64-bit processor, MIUI based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, 4G LTE + VoLTE support, Fingerprint Sensor and a 4100mAh battery with up to 2 days battery life.

In the camera segment, a rear facing 13MP camera with PDAF, LED Flash and f/2.0 aperture, alongside a front facing 5MP camera with f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video chats. Both the rear and front cameras record ‎1080p Full videos.

The Xiaomi Mi 3S Plus is priced at Rs. 9,499 (US$ 143) and comes in Dark Grey, Gold and Silver colours. It will be available from various retails stores including Poorvika, Sangeetha, BIG C and LOT.
