In due time, Xiaomi is expected to unveil new products (smartphones, phablets and tablets) with the Mi5, Redmi Note 2 Pro and maybe the Mi5 Plus all expected. The company’s Pro version of the Redmi Note 2 released back in August has been certified on TENAA in China.
According to the listing, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display and the all plastic body has been ditched for a full metal one. It is powered by the octa-core Mediatek Helio X10 (MT6795) processor clocked at 2.0GHz paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage.
The phablet a rear facing 13-Megapixels camera with Dual Tone LED flash, a front facing 5-Megapixels camera for selfies and the fingerprint scanner is just below the main camera. It boots Android 5.0.1 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box with the company’s MIUI skin ontop and supports 4G LTE networks.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro would have Dual SIM slots, weigh more and measures 8.75mm thick which is expected due to the metal body used. The whole shebang is backed by a 3060mAh battery which promises up to a day (or more) of usage and a very competitive price tag of $172 could be slapped on the device to blow out rival devices.
