Xiaomi has launched an updated version of the Redmi Note 5 Pro in China. Called the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 AI Dual Camera, this variant has most of the specs of the Indian Redmi Note 5 Pro and also comes with improvements to the camera setup and addition of Artificial Intelligence (A.I) into the mix.
Available in Black, Gold, Magic Blue and Rose Gold colours, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 AI Dual Camera has the same 5.99-inch (2160 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ IPS LCD display, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Mobile Platform, rear fingerprint sensor and a 4,000mAh battery with fast charging (Quick Charge 3.0).
The smartphone has the same dual rear camera setup; however, the main 12MP camera now has a f/1.9 lens as opposed to f/2.2 on the Indian variant, larger 1.4μm pixels compared to 1.25μm and dual pixel PDAF for fast focusing. The secondary 5MP camera maintains the same f/2.0 lens and 1.12um pixel size.

Both the front and rear cameras have a number of AI driven features such as potrait mode, beauty mode and face unlock.
