Indian based manufacturer, Xolo has announced a new smartphone – the Xolo Cube 5.0 which runs Android Lollipop OS and asides that the device is pretty much with entry-level specs. It is priced at Rs 7999 ($126) and comes in White, Gold and Black colour options to choose from.
The Xolo Cube 5.0 features a 5-inch OGS IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD), ASAHI Dragontrail glass protection and 85% NTSC Color Gamut for ultra-high color contrasts and vivid colours. Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6582M processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with 500 MHz Mali-400 GPU and 1GB of RAM.
There is 8GB space of internal memory onboard for app, files and media; for additional storage, there is a micro SD card slot with support for cards up to 32GB. On the rear, there is a 8-megapixels camera with LED flash and a front facing 2-megapixels camera for selfies as well as for video calls.
The device measures 143 x 71 x 6.9 mm in dimensions, has Dual SIM functionality along with FM Radio and Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G HSPA+ connectivity options. The Xolo Cube 5.0 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and is backed by a 2100mAh battery.
