Xolo has announced a new budget smartphone – the Xolo Prime. The Prime smartphone shares similarities with the Xolo One but unlike the One which has a faux leather like back, the Xolo Prime has a colour Glass body build. While many would be quick to diss this 4.5-inch smartphone, it runs Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and is priced moderately at INR 5699 ($89).
The Xolo Prime smartphone sports a 4.5-inch 854 x 480 pixels FWVGA display, powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6582M processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with 416 MHz Mali-400 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 32GB).
On the rear, there is a 5MP camera with LED flash and a front facing 0.3MP (VGA) camera for selfies and video chats. Connectivity options on the device includes – GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and 3G HSPA+.
The Xolo Prime measures 136 x 68 x 9.5 mm in dimensions, has Dual SIM slots, FM Radio and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. The device is backed by a 1800mAh battery. Black, Blue, Gold and Red are the available colour options.
