Xolo has announced the Xolo Q2100, the first Android smartphone from the company to feature a fingerprint scanner. The device is said to be available in upcoming days in india.
The Dual-SIM Xolo Q2100 features a. 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display with a pixel density of 267ppi and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 chipset, 1GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt storage (up to 32GB via microSD). On the rear of the device sits a 8MP autofocus rear camera with Sony Exmor R sensor & dual LED flash; and a front facing 2MP camera for video calls.
Connectivity options on the Xolo Q2100 includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, USB OTG, A-GPS, FM radio, 3G HSPA+, IR Blaster. Ambient light sensor, accelerometer, magnetometer, and proximity sensor are the sensor options the device offers.
The device measures 152.4 x 75 x 9.3mm, supports Dual-SIM with Dual-Standby and as aforementioned running on Android 4.4 Kitkat. The device is powered by a 2800mAh battery, which is touted to provide about 27 hours of talktime on 2G and 22 hours of talk time on 3G networks.
The highlight of the Xolo Q2100 is its in-built Fingerprint Sensor on the rear which allows user securely access and unlock the smartphone with just a swipe over the sensor. The device also comes with an IR Blaster which alongside a pre-loaded Peel Smart Remote App helps to control DVD, TV, DVR and other smarthome appliances.
The Xolo Q2100 is available for a retail price of Rs 13,499 ($219); and available in Black and White colour options.
