Softbank and WILLCOM OKINAWA have jointly announced the Digno E 503KC smartphone by Kyocera will go on sale in Japan via Y! Mobile ON June 10. The device stands out with Military grade toughness certification (MIL-STD-810G) along with IPX5 / IPX7 certification (Waterproof) and IP5X (for dust resistance).
The Kyocera Digno E 503KC sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD LCD display and the OS adopted is Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Under the hood, it relies on a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor clocked at 1.2GHz along with 2GB of RAM and 8GB built-in expandable storage space (up to 200GB via microSD). It has a Single Nano SIM slot and is backed by a 2300mAh battery with 1190 minutes of talk time and 860 hours of standby time.
In the camera segment, there is a rear facing 8MP AutoFocus camera with Anti Shake and a front facing 2MP camera for selfies and video chats. It supports 2G, 3G and 4G LTE (Cat.4) networks along with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and Wi-FI 802.11 b/g/n connectivity options. The DIgno E 503KC measures 142 x 72 × 10.8 mm in dimensions (excluding protrusions) and weighs about 138 grams.
