Yezz Andy A6M Specifications

The Dual SIM Yezz Andy A6M features a 6-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels (qHD) and a pixel density of 184ppi. The device has a polycarbonate plastic looking body, faux-metal around the edges and interchangeable back covers in White, Red and Black colours.

Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core Mediatek MT6582M processor clocked at 1.3GHz, paired with Mali-400 GPU, 1GB of RAM and just 4GB space (2.63GB user available) of internal storage. Be braced to get a microSD card up to 32GB for additional storage.

On the rear, there is a 13MP AutoFocus camera; a 5MP front camera for selfies and you should know that the number of pixels doesn’t always have effect on the quality of photos taken. Connectivity options on the device includes – 2G/3G networks, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, GPS and Wi-Fi Hotspot.

Measuring 168 x 85.5 x 9 mm in dimensions, the Andy A6M weighs 189 grams, runs Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and is backed by a 2400mAh battery that offers up to 480 hours (2G) and 350 hours (3G) of standby time.

PROS

• Decent Front Camera
• Large 6-inch screen

CONS

• Just 4GB internal storage
• No LTE
• Low Resolution display
• Unexceptional Performance
• Over-Priced

VERDICT

Bearing in mind that the Yezz Andy A6M is almost two years since announced, the device is simply outrageous at N38,000. At that amount you should be able to get the Innjoo Fire, the Tecno Boom J7 and Infinix Hot Note Pro which are all midrange smartphones with far better features.

However, If you are in the market for a large screen sized smartphone with a huge front facing camera and supports Dual SIM functionality then you can go for it. Make sure you send me some pictures when you finally cop it.

Extra: There is a Single SIM version of the device dubbed the Yezz Andy A6CM, but that is not available in Nigeria.
