Running Windows Phone OS, the Yezz Billy 4.7 sports a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS LCD display with Asahi Dragon Trail Glass protection and is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with Adreno 302 GPU and 1GB of RAM.
8GB of internal storage space is available which can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card slot. On the rear, there is a 8MP camera with LED flash and a front facing 2MP camera for selfies and video chats.
Connectivity options on the Yezz Billy 4.7 includes – 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, GPS with A-GPS/GLONASS, microUSB v2.0 and Stereo FM Radio. The Dual SIM enabled device measures 135.8 x 67.2 x 7.2 mm, weighs 120 grams and is backed by a 1720mAh battery.
Like most Lumia smartphones, the Yezz Billy 4.7 is upgradable to Windows 10 Mobile OS as it meets all the necessary requirements to make the leap. However, Microsoft has announced the first set of devices to get the upgrade and unsurprisingly the list only contain Lumia smartphones.
Verdict
I decided to skip on the Pros and Cons of the Yezz Billy 4.7 as it has the same specs with majority of the Midrange and Entry-Level Lumia smartphones released recently. The issue still has to be the pricing which is around N35,000; that price won’t attract any Android loyalist to make the switch.
However, not expecting the likes of Innjoo, Tecno and Infinix to release Windows Phones anytime soon; Yezz Mobile would be looking to solidify its footing in that aspect of the market.
