Yota Mobiles through IT telecom & consumer electronics retailer & distributor in the UAE, Jumbo Electronics and Flipkart has partnered to launch the YotaPhone; the world’s first smartphone with a e-paper screen on the rear and a LCD screen as the main display.
The Yotaphone is an Android smartphone with two 4.3-inch displays; on the rear and one on the front. The front has a 4.3-inch 1280 x 720 pixels Liquid crystal Display (LCD) and the rear has a 4.3-inch 640 x 480 pixels electronic paper (e-Ink) display. The E-Ink technology means the screen displays static (always on) content without draining the battery.
Other the display, the Yotaphone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8960T with dual-core 1.7GHz Krait 300 CPU with Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB RAM, 32GB storage space, 13MP rear camera, 1MP front camera, 4G LTE connectivity, 1,800mAh battery and runs on the dated Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
