YU Televentures have a new higher mid-range smartphone in the works – the YU YU5200, which has been spotted on Zauba import and GFXBench benchmark listing. The new device is expected to slot into the YU Yureka line-up and could be the potential successor to the YU Yureka Plus.
According to both listing, the YU YU5200 sports a 5.2-inch display with screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) resulting in a pixel density of 424ppi. Under the hood, the device relies on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.6GHz with Adreno 405 GPU.
The device packs 3GB of RAM, 16GB built-in storage space out of which 11GB is user available and a microSD slot should be available for expanding storage. In the camera segment, there is a front facing 5-megapixel camera and a rear facing 13-megapixel camera; both cameras record 1080p Full HD videos.
The Dual SIM enabled YU Y5200 supports 2G, 3G and 4G LTE networks as well as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS connectivity options. It runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS and is expected to be available for a price tag less than Rs. 10,000 (US$ 150).
