After more than six months of silence, YU Televentures (Micromax’s subsidiary) is back on the smartphone scene with the YU YUREKA BLACK. The Flipkart exclusive phablet comes in Chrome Black colour with glossy finish and Matte Black with smooth finish. It will be available starting June 6th for Rs. 8999 (US$ 140).
Housed in a 8.73 mm thick all metal body, the YU YUREKA BLACK features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, front facing 8MP camera with selfie flash, and rear 13MP camera with Sony IMX258 sensor, PDAF and dual LED Flash.
On the inside, the device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Mobile Platform and boots the already dated Android 6.0.1 Marshallow OS but will be upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat OS soon. It packs 4GB RAM and 32GB built-in expandable storage and a fingerprint sensor (home button).
As expected the YU YUREKA BLACK supports 4G LTE connectivity with VoLTE and features the hybrid dual SIM slot. Other connectivity and port options include – Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, micro USB and USB OTG. Power is delivered by a sizeable 3,000mAh battery (built-in) for power.
