ZTE has announced the global availability of the ZTE Axon Mini as well as the more premium edition which has pressure-sensitive touch and the exclusive NBA version. The company also announced the availability of the Axon Watch for China.

ZTE Axon Mini
The ZTE Axon Mini is the mini version of the ZTE Axon; it has a Boeing 787 aircraft-grade aluminium-titanium alloy chassis and sports a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED 2.5D curved-edge screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (FHD). The voice search function can be activated in 1.2 seconds and offers real-time voice translation support for English, Japanese and Korean.
Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor with Adreno 405 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB space of internal storage and has a microSD card slot which supports up to 128GB cards. The device has a front facing 8MP camera with 5P lens and a 13MP camera with Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF).
There are three biometric authentication options on the ZTE Axon Mini – voice control, eye-scan and fingerprint scanner. For quality audio playback and quality sound recording experience, the device uses dual microphones with support from AKM4961 Hi-Fi chipset.
The whole shebang is backed by a 2800mAh battery; the Axon Mini has an normal edition, a Premium Edition with pressure-sensitive touch display and a NBA version with which is as a result of the partnership with NBA, Tencent and ZTE. All versions of the device are available in Chromium Gold, Ion Gold and Rose Gold colour options.

ZTE Axon Watch
ZTE also announced the availability of the Axon Watch for China. The device will be available starting October 27th from ZTE’s MyZTE store in China. The ZTE Axon Watch is a joint product from Tencent and ZTE; it supports both voice and Gesture control.
Running Tencent OS, the ZTE Axon Watch sports a 1.4-inch Gorilla Glass screen with Sapphire coating, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, IP67 certification and is backed by a 300mAh battery. There is Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity onboard and the watch doesn’t only serve notification purposes, it also does health and fitness monitoring functions.
