ZTE announce entry-level ZTE 3C with Snapdragon SoC and Sub-$80 price tag

ZTE has officially announced a new entry-level smartphone – the ZTE 3C (or ZTE Mighty 3C). The device has a sub-$80 (CNY 499 – $78) price tag but surprisingly isn’t powered by a Mediatek processor, supports 4G LTE networks and runs Android Lollipop OS.

The ZTE 3C is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 MSM8909 processor clocked at 1.1GHz paired with Adreno 304 GPU and 1GB of RAM. There is 8GB space of built-in storage and a microSD card slot for storage expansion possibly up to 32GB or more. 

The 3C has a plastic body build,  sports a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels (FWVGA) and three capacitive buttons below the display. It measures 143.5 x 72.9 x 9.45mm in dimension, weighs 170grams and the keys (lock/power and volume keys) are placed on the right-hand side. 

Running Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with ZTE Nubia UI ontop, the ZTE 3C has Dual SIM slots (with Dual Standby), a front facing 2MP camera for video chats & selfies, a rear facing 5MP camera with LED flash and is backed by a 2500mAh battery. It supports 2G GSM, 3G TD-SCDMA & 4G LTE networks as well as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS.
