ZTE has announced a new phablet, the ZTE Grand XMax exclusively on Cricket Wireless in the US. The device would be available as from October 10 with an on-contract price tag of $199.00.
The ZTE Grand XMax supports single SIM functionality, runs Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and rocks a 6.0-inch (720 x 1280 pixels) HD display. The device is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of inbuilt storage (expandable via microSD card), 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash, 1MP front-facing camera.
Connectivity options on the device includes – 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/ A-GPS and 4G LTE. The ZTE Grand XMax is powered by a 3200mAh battery which is said to last 860 hours on standby and 6.5 hours on 3G talktime.
The Chinese company released the ZTE ZMax in New York in conjuction with T-Mobile; dubbing it as a low-cost alternative to the Apple iPhone 6.
The ZTE ZMax features a 5.7-inch TFT LCD display (720×1280 pixels) resolution, powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (MSM8926) processor with Adreno 305 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Other features includes – 16GB of inbuilt storage (up to 32GB via microSD card storage), 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash, a 1.6MP front-facing camera, single SIM support and a 3400mAh battery.
