Announced earlier this year at the MWC 2019, ZTE has commenced the rollout of its new flagships – the ZTE Axon 10 Pro and ZTE Axon 10 Pro 5G in China. Both models come pre-loaded with MiFavor 9.1 (based on Android 9 Pie) and feature the high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 mobile platform paired with either 6GB, 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB built-in storage.
The 5G version has almost the same specs as the 4G version but includes Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X50 LTE modem for 5G connectivity. Either model has a 6.47-inch Curved AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, ultrasonic in-display fingerprint ID, 20MP selfie camera with support for face beauty and recognition, USB 3.1 Type-C (even for audio) and a 4,000mAh battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ and wireless charging.
Photography is handled by AI-enhanced 48MP (f/1.7) primary camera paired with 20MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide camera with 125-degree FOV and 8MP (f/2.4) telephoto camera for 3x optical zoom, 5X hybrid zoom, or 10x digital zoom. The rest of the specs include HDR 10 support, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Dual stereo speakers, Dual SmartPA and DTS:X ultra sound.
The base ZTE Axon 10 Pro 4G variant (6GB + 128GB) is priced starting at CNY 3,199; the 8GB + 256GB variant at CNY 3,699 and the 12GB + 256GB model at CNY 4,199. The 4G model will be available in China via MYZTE.com, Tmall.com, and JD.com while there is no word on the pricing for the Axon 10 Pro 5G. The devices are expected to make their way to Europe shortly afterwards.
