Last month, the ZTE A2017 surfaced on benchmark leading to speculation that the launch of a new addition to the Axon Series family. A new device carrying the same model name has been certified in China by TENAA and is reportedly confirmed to be the ZTE Axon 2 – successor to the ZTE Axon.
According to the agency’s listing, the ZTE Axon 2 Specs starts off with a 5.5-inch OLED display with 2560 x 1440 pixels (QHD) screen resolution and packs a sizeable 3140mAh battery. It measures 154 x 77 x 9.8 mm in dimensions, weighs in at 175 grams and runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS with the company’s user interface on top.
On the inside, the device relies on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz with Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB built-in storage space. It pack Dual SIM slots and a microSD or (TFlash) card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB.
In the camera aspect, there seems to a Dual camera setup for the main camera (20-megapixel + 8-megapixel) and the front snapper is a 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video chats. The ZTE Axon 2 supportss 2G,3G and 4G networks, and packs a fingerprint scanner below the main camera.
