ZTE has partnered with the NBA to launch the ZTE Axon Mini NBA Edition in China. The device is one of the first set of smartphones with Force Touch display and that list includes the Huawei Mate S, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
The ZTE Axon Mini NBA Edition is priced at CNY 3999 ($377) and is exclusive to the Chinese market. The device comes with the official NBA logo on the back or the logo of either of these six other NBA teams – Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, L.A Lakers and New York Knicks.
Along with the branding, the device also comes with NBA themed wallpapers and apps specifically for the Chinese market. Asides the side attractions, the device has the same specs as the original ZTE Axon Mini. It sports a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) FHD OLED display with 2.5D Curved Glass and a pixel density of 441ppi.
Under the hood, the ZTE Axon Mini NBA Edition is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor, 3GB of RAM and 16GB native storage space. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB.
There is a 13MP main camera with LED flash, 8MP front facing camera, a fingerprint scanner just below the main camera on the back, and retina scanner for additional security. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and is backed by a 2800mAh battery.
