ZTE USA has unveiled a new Blade series smartphone – the ZTE Blade Max 3. The phablet device features two rear facing 13MP cameras with fast object tracking, PDAF and dual-LED flash. The fingerprint sensor sits below the main camera while the front camera is a 5MP snapper for selfies and video chats.
The ZTE Blade Max 3 features a 6-inch IPS display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) and 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. On the inside, it relies on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 (MSM8953) processor clocked at 2.0GHz and paired with 2GB of RAM.
The device packs 16GB built-in storage, a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB and boots Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS. It has a built-in Hi-Fi chip for quality audio output and depends on a sizeable 4000mAh battery, which should last over a day of mixed usage.
Connectivity options available include – 4G LTE, USB Type-C 2.0 port, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. The ZTE Blade Max 3 is currently available from US Cellular for US$ 200 (pre-paid) and for $US10 per month over a 30-month period.
