ZTE Blade S6 and ZTE Blade S6 Lux debuts in China

There are so many smartphones these days with near similar,  very similar or inspired by design and potentially some of them tend to resemble the iPhone 6 (and the iPhone 6 Plus). As cheap as it may sound most of these devices OEM do not simply care.

ZTE is ranked among one of the major manufacturers in the world; the company just announced two new device which could be said to be inspired by the iPhone – the ZTE Blade S6 and the ZTE Blade S6 Lux. Both devices take their inspiration from the iPhone with the choice of body build, design and materials used. 

Talking about the design, both Blade S6 and Blade S6 Lux measure 7.9 and 7.7mm in thickness; they both have rounded aluminium body, speaker grill, front facing 5MP snapper and 2.5D glass on the front. The device also has a home button which lights up in blue colour.

Specs-Wise; both device share similar specs with the ZTE Blade S6 Lux having more advanced specs. 

The ZTE Blade S6 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 Soc (quad-core) with 2GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage. It has a 5.5-inch (720 x 1280 pixels) HD JDI display, a 13MP main camera with Sony IMX214 sensor and a front 5MP sensor with 88-degree view angle. The camera has a professional camera mode asides the regular auto mode. The company did not list the battery details but it is expected to be lesser than the 3000mAh on the S6 Lux.

The ZTE Blade S6 Lux on the other hand is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC (octa-core) with 2GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage. It has a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD JDI display and is backed by a 3000mAh battery. It also has the same camera features as the Blade S6.

Both device are Dual SIM enabled, support Dual 4G connectivity (TD-LTE and FDD-LTE) and run on the company’s MiFavor UI 3.0 which is based on Android. 

The company did not unveil most of the specs of the device; however the ZTE Blade S6 would be priced at 1699 Yuan ($272) and the ZTE Blade S6 Lux is priced at 1999 Yuan ($320).
