ZTE has today officially announced the phablet version of the ZTE Nubia Z9 (Z9 Max) and its mini (Z9 Mini) variant. Both device has surfaced in countless and yesterday we got full information about the specs of both devices.
The ZTE Nubia Z9 Max and the Nubia Z9 Mini both come with a good design language (titanium frame with aluminium alloy casing and and reinforced glass pattern on the back) and has swappable back covers in numerous texture and pattern. The Z9 Max is available in China for CNY 2,499 ($400) and the Z9 mini for CNY 1499 (~$240).
Moving to the specs – the ZTE Nubia Z9 Max sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display, powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with 3GB of RAM, 16GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot for storage expansion. It measures 154.8 × 76.6 × 7.9mm in dimensions, weighs 165 grams, Hi-Fi audio experience with 7.1 channel surround (thanks to premium AK4375 sound processor) and is backed by a 2900mAh battery.
The ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini on the other hand has so many similar specs with the Nubia Z9 Max. In differences, it sports a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display, powered by a lesser Qualcomm snapdragon 615 octa-core processor (64 bit) with 2GB of RAM, 16GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot. It is also backed by a 2900mAh battery, weighs 147 grams and measures 141.3 x 69.8 x 8.2mm in dimensions.
Both the Nubia Z9 Max and Nubia Z9 Mini sport a 16MP rear camera with f/2.0 lens and supports 4K video recording. On the front there is a generous 8MP camera which is expected to take selfies to another level. They both boot the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box with ZTE’s Nubia Launcher UI on-top and supports LTE connectivity.
