ZTE has finally unveiled the ZTE Nubia Z9 which is the company’s flagship device for 2015. It would slot in alongside the ZTE Nubia Z9 Max and the ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini as the Nubia Z9 family of devices for the year.
The ZTE Nubia Z9 comes with some outstanding tech specs and features. Starting with the design, it has a metal chassis body and a border-less design at both sides of the display. It could be said to bring an edge-to-edge display just like the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and comes with a new technology from ZTE called FIT (Frame Interactive Technology). FIT allows the device to be able to take advantage of its borderless design and different user gestures.
It sports a 5.2-inch (1920 x 10800 pixels) Full HD display with 2.5D glass design and a pixel density of 424ppi. Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapsragon 810 SoC with Adreno 420 GPU and is backed by a 2900mAh battery. On the rear is a 16MP Sony IMX234 camera with OIS, HDR and single LED flash; the front camera is a 8MP Sony Sensor for selfies and comes with NeoVision 5.1 for quality images.
The Nubia Z9 measures 147.38 x 68.34 x 8.94mm, runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS based on Nubia 3.0 UI, supports Dual SIM functionality, Dolby 7.1 Surround and HiFi audio technology. Connectivity options includes – Bluetooth 4.1, MHL 3.0, NFC and 4G LTE.
The ZTE Nubia Z9 would be available in there versions – the Classic Edition, Elite Edition and Exclusive Edition. The Classic Edition makes do with 3GB of RAM and 32GB space of internal storage while the Elite and Exclusive versions use 4GB of RAM and 64GB space of internal storage. The Exclusive version sets itself apart from the three with a fingerprint sensor incorporated into the home button.
The ZTE Nubia Z9 Classic Version costs $565 (CNY 3499), the Elite version costs $645 (CNY 3999) and the Exclusive Version costs $725 (CNY 4499); pre-orders for all three devices have started in China.
